Nordea Bank Lithuania

"Nordea Bank Lithuania" is part of the advanced financial services group in the Nordic and Baltic countries. "Nordea" entered Lithuanian market in 2000. According to its assets under management, currently Nordea ranks fourth among banks operating in Lithuania and is one of the fastest-growing banks in Lithuania providing all main banking services to private and corporate customers.

"Nordea Bank Lithuania", a branch of the largest Nordic and Baltic financial group "Nordea", received 90.9 million litas of operating profit before taxes and loan losses in 2011. The bank’s assets grew 9% in 2011 to reach 9 billion litas by the end of 2011. Asset growth was due to 11.7% annual increase of loan portfolio – at the end of the year it totaled 7.6 billion litas.

"Nordea Bank Lithuania" expenses to cover possible loan losses were 48.8 million litas last year, which is 42% less than in 2010.
Deposits of Lithuanian persons and entities in "Nordea" bank are insured at the Deposit Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Finland. "Nordea" stands 22nd among the world's 50 safest banks. Nordea’s rating is among the best on the market: "Standard & Poor's" has established it at AA-.

"Nordea" has 16 branches in Lithuania in the cities of Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Panevėžys and Šiauliai. The bank has a staff of 350 people.
