Investing Philosophy

Nordea Investment Funds S.A. (NIF) in Luxembourg has been operating since 1989. The company is the Nordea Investment Funds in Luxembourg is the focal point of the Nordea Group's European fund distribution activities and investment manager to the Nordea Value Management unit.

The Company promotes, manages, services and distributes a range of award-winning funds across Europe. Its sales channels include intermediaries, such as banks, independent financial advisers (IFAs), funds of funds and insurance companies.

Core product is the Luxembourg-domiciled Nordea 1, SICAV fund, which comprises more than 40 sub-funds in the equity, fixed-income and currency-denominated reserve fund categories, all of which draw on investment expertise within the Nordea Group.

Additionally it is offered Nordea Funds of Funds, SICAV sub-funds. 

Group's European focal point of investment fund management and distribution and is one of the leading European players in this field. NIF is compliant with UCITS-III legislation, which means that it has the authority to distribute its products throughout the European Community and is able to obtain marketing permission in these countries with relative ease. Being UCITS-III compliant is effectively the equivalent of having a driving license that is valid in all EU states. The following sections will introduce our offerings in this area.

Since the creation of the Nordea Group in 2000, this has provided us with a brand name and a market capitalisation sufficient to gain access to the European third party fund market as a provider. We are currently authorised to sell and market our fund products in 16 national markets across Europe. These number Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Portugal, Luxembourg, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Poland, Italy, the Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Since then, the business line has been built from a minor activity into one of the leading players in Europe while retaining a company structure closer to that of the original small-scale business.
