The Bank ensures security of the cards, therefore new and renewed payment cards are issued not activated. Only having activated card you will be able to make payments in shopping centres and service enterprises.
How to activate a payment card?
- At Bank ATM
- With the help of Nordea e-banking system having submitted application for card activation
- By making a phone call dialing the number provided on the other side of the card or short number 1554 (is valid for IKI PREMIJA Maestro cards only)
- At the nearest Nordea Bank branch office
How to activate a payment card at ATM?
Payment card can be activated at Nordea Bank ATMs network free of charge having entered the correct PIN code and checked the card’s account balance. Your card is activated immediately.
You can activate your Nordea payment card at other banks’ ATMs as well. However, card’s account balance can’t be viewed at those ATMs thus you will be able to active your card only having performed a cash operation at the valid rates.
How to activate a payment card with the help of Nordea e-banking system?
Having singed in the Nordea e-banking system, you have to submit application for card activation. You can do it by clicking “Mail”, “New message” and selecting category “Cards”. Fill in the text field with a full number of a card which you want to activate. Having received your message we will activate your card.
