FAQ
May I purchase the vehicle earlier than provided for in the contract?
Yes, you may. In this case, you need to pay the amount equal to the residual value of the vehicle (the yet unpaid share of the total value of the asset that is specified in the contract), cover any additional costs incurred due to termination of the contract, and pay other amounts as provided for in the contract.
If you want to purchase property before a certain deadline, please inform us of this at least 30 days in advance by sending a request (http://www.nordea.lt/lt/pages/prasymu-formos) to lizingas@nordea.com or fax number (8 5) 236 1381. Our employees will inform you of the exact amount that you must pay.
May I terminate the operating lease contract prematurely?
You may terminate the operating lease contract prematurely only if you find a buyer who can purchase the leased assets from us and cover the residual value as of the moment of termination of the contract. Our employees will inform you about the residual value of the assets on receipt of your relevant request.
May I change the vehicle prior to expiry of the lease purchase contract?
Yes, you may. You must find a buyer for the vehicle which you use under the specific contract. In this case, we recommend contacting sellers of new or second-hand vehicles who can purchase your leased vehicle and sell you another vehicle.
What should I do, if at a given moment I am not able to pay fees for the vehicle (for instance, due to temporary financial difficulties)?
You should immediately call us at (8 5) 236 1327. We will look for a solution which satisfies both you and us. Here are some examples of the options available:
- postponement of payments for an agreed term (until you resolve your problem);
- extension of the term of the contract, thus reducing the monthly fees;
- contacting car dealers who can purchase your leased vehicle.

We will inform you of the exact amount that you must pay (including any fees [costs] connected with obligations which were not fulfilled by the date of purchase and which are provided for in the contract).
At the moment of assigning the contract to another party, you also transfer the obligations and rights provided for in the contract. Why is my invoice different from the payment schedule?
This means that the variable annual interest rate has changed.
If your variable interest is expressed as a USD LIBOR or VALIBOR base interest rate, then the variable interest rate is adjusted twice a year—on 30 March and 30 September. If your variable interest rate is expressed as a EURIBOR interest rate, then the variable interest is adjusted twice a year—i.e. on 30 March and 30 September—if in the Special Provisions the Parties agreed on the application of a 6-month EURIBOR base interest rate, or four times a year—i.e. on 30 March, 30 June, 30 September, and 30 December—if in the Special Provisions the Parties agreed on the application of a 3-month EURIBOR base interest rate. The share of variable interest that was valid two banking days prior to the dates specified above applies. The variable interest is first set on the day the relevant agreement is signed.
When is the first lease instalment due? What are other payments payable?
The first lease payment is due on the date specified in your agreement. If no payment date is specified in your agreement, payments must be made according to the date when the property transfer and acceptance deed (the deed to use and manage the property) is signed—that is, if the property is transferred by the 15th date of the current month, then payments are due on the 16th day of each month, and if the property is transferred after the 15th day of the current month, then payments are due by the 1st day of the next month.
The interest that is specified in a separate invoice is due from the date the property is transferred until the start of the time period. The schedule does not reflect any interest payable prior to the start of the first time period.
