Domestic Payments

By making a local payment order, you may send or receive payments in litas. From 20 September 2004, not only regular but also urgent local payment orders can be made. An urgent payment order is sent to another Lithuanian bank immediately provided that the order is submitted before 3.00 p.m. A regular payment order is processed on the same Banking day provided that it is made before 2.00 p.m.

When a regular payment order is received from another Lithuanian bank, the corresponding account is credited on the same Banking day on which the bank receives the order. An urgent payment order is credited immediately.

When a payment is made to a Nordea account, the funds are debited from one account and credited to another on the same Banking day.
