Recommendations on secure use

If you do not use e-banking services for 15 minutes, your session automatically expires. To login to the services again, you need to re-enter your client number and enter a new code from the code card. Always remember to click the ‘Log out’ button located in the right upper corner of the window when you finish work.

To prevent unauthorised use of the services and possible damage, we recommend that you adhere to the following security requirements:

• Keep your client number and code card out of reach of third parties.
• Keep your code card and client number separately, because if unauthorised parties have only one of the security elements they will not be able to access the services.
• Do not write your security elements in a manner which can be identified by third parties (never write your client number on your code card). The bank firmly recommends that you memorise your client number.
• On completion of work in the Nordea e-banking system, log out from the system (click the ‘Log out’ button in the right upper corner).
• Do not disclose your client number or codes from your code card to anyone. Nordea will never ask you to do this.

If your client number or code card became known to third parties or such a threat exists, or if you experience security problems when using e-banking services, please inform the bank of this immediately.
